[Super Kratom

Kratom
(Mitragyna
speciosa) is a medicinal leaf harvested from a
large tree native to Southeast Asia. It is in
the same family as the coffee tree.
Although using Kratom has been common
throughout its native range of Southeast Asia,
this amazing plant has remained virtually
unknown outside of that area until the last few
years.
The leaves of
Kratom have been used as an herbal drug from
time immemorial by peoples of Southeast Asia.
Mitragyna speciosa is used in folk medicine as
a stimulant at low doses, sedative at high
doses, pain killer, anti-diarrheal medicine and
in the treatment of opiate
addiction.
Although
structurally related to
yohimbine
and
other tryptamines, its
pharmacology
Kratom is quite
different. It contains many alkaloids
including mitragynine which is thought to
be responsible for its characteristics of
being paradoxically a stimulant and
depressant enabling it to be used to aid
work while also aiding rest and sleep.
Kratom is said to produce a sense of
well-being, with users reporting
anti-depressant, anti-anxiety, analgesic,
and even euphoric effects.
Kratom also
contains alkaloids found in Uña de gato, which
are thought to play a beneficial role on the
immune system and lower blood pressure, as well
as epicatechin, a powerful antioxidant also
found in dark chocolate and closely related to
the EGCG that gives green tea its beneficial
effects.
Beware of
misleading labels and marketing hype. Some
vendors offer several different grades
of Kratom
leaves (with names such as
"premium," "super" and "super premium"), but
it's often found that there is little if any
difference in these "different" grades. It is
important to find a trustworthy source. There
have been problems with some vendors
misrepresenting other herbs as
Kratom.

Material: 6 grams of 'Kratom
Premium Powdered Leaf' as called by
the vendor. This is supposed to a
potent form of the plant, also
called 'super kratom'.
Subject: 160 lbs. male. Recent drug
history: 2 beers were consumed
about 2 hours prior to kratom
consumption. Otherwise, no drug use
on this day with the exception of a
strong cup of coffee in the morning
(12 hours earlier). Last meal was 4
hours before kratom consumption.
Subject is a near-daily marijuana
user, is a light/moderate drinker,
a non-tobacco smoker, and daily,
moderate coffee user in the
mornings.
Method: About 6 grams of kratom
were mixed with 6 ounces of tap
water, mixed well with a fork, and
drunk. No heating or filtering were
involved. This form of kratom was
stated by the vendor to be intended
for those individuals who found the
extraction process tedious, so all
that is required is mixing with a
liquid and drinking. The cup was
filled with water again, and this
was drunk to ensure no residual
kratom was left on the sides of the
cup.
Effect: After 20 minutes, I began
to feel a stong, opiate-like
effect. Very similar to Vikodin or
Percacetts, however, less sedating.
About 1.5 hours after kratom
consumption, skin was itchy, as
symptom common to opioid drugs.
This was bearable. For a short
period, perhaps 10 minutes, I felt
a little upset to the stomach,
'queezy.' Again, this is expected
of an opioid, and was bearable and
transient in this case.
Duration:strong effects for 2
hours, with tapering off for
another 2 hours
Comment: This was my third and most
pleasant kratom experience. It was
a higher dose than the previous two
experiments. I was in no pain, but
I sensed it would be an excellent
analgesic. The active ingredient,
mitragynine, has been shown to have
analgesic properties comparable to
morphine in nonhuman animal models.
I would consider keeping it on hand
for those times when a pain killer
would be helpful, but a trip to the
doctor and prescription would be a
burden. The experience was
extremely pleasant and euphoric.
However, this herb definitely has
abuse potential, like other opioid
analgesics, and is to be respected
and used with moderation and
caution (e.g., dangerous to mix
with alcohol).

I have been using kratom for awhile
now and I am happy with what it
provides. Well 3 days ago I
recieved some very strong kratom
extract so I decided to try a very
high dose. I weighed out 10 grams
of the extract which was said to be
7 grams of kratom extracted into
each gram, so that would be the
equivalent of 70 grams of very
potent kratom! I also added 10
grams of potent kratom, which was a
typical dose for me.
So in all, this single dose was
about 80 grams of kratom!!!
Needless to say, this mixture was
very bad in taste, quite similar to
the taste of ayahusca. The buzz
came on quickly, in fact each gulp
provided a small but quick feeling
of stimulation, followed by the
usual opiate feeling. The drink
took about 45 minutes to get down
and before the drink was finnished
I was feeling pretty opiated. The
high was very comparable to a dirty
but strong opiate high. The effects
lasted from 8:00 to when I went to
sleep at 2:30. The night was a bit
blury and I only remember some
significant points of the night.
The morning however was hell. There
were obvious withdrawl symptons
including nausea, vertigo, intense
sweating and a terrible feeling of
being drained of energy. I luckly
had the day off from work so I
stayed in bed from when I woke at
10:30 A.M. to about 5 P.M. when I
felt I could eat a small bowl of
soup. At 4 P.M. I realized I had to
try to get up so I walked out of my
bedroom but felt an intense feeling
of vertigo and vomited. This
vomiting was far worse than any
hangover however, I litterly had
tears running out of my eyes as I
vomited and my stomach felt as
though it was being rung out like a
sponge. After this however I felt
as though I was able to walk
without getting sick and that
helped alot. That night I was able
to eat and I ate plenty! The day
after, which is today, I felt
physically drained of energy again
but my stomach feels fine and I can
eat. I was also mentally drained,
being rather reserved at work and
performing a little slower. My mind
also felt a bit hazy. All in all
the high was not at all worth the
money ($40 in kratom!!!) or the
hangover. I will never repeat this
dosage again but I will continue to
use kratom, in fact im drinking
some right now. Let my lesson
learned be a lesson for you all to
